Ann is Turning 40 !!!

Ann F. is turning forty on November 11th and since she is doing her best to pretend that it is not happening and she would kill me if I had a surprise party I figured allowing her friends to post birthday wishes as a surprise to her (PLEASE DON'T TELL HER) would be the next best thing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANN!! Hey, the best years of a woman's life are the ten years between 39 and 40. Somehow life gets easier over 40... enjoy it. And remember: old age is always fifteen years older than whatever age you are! :-)

I would have guessed you were in your 30s so don't worry about that salt mixed in with your paprika. It's probably just highlights. You've still got a little time left to enjoy life. I found after 50 things got even better! The only thing that isn't so great is the arthritis! As you get older, the children get even older than you. There will be a time when they will be deciding where you go and what time you eat. Yikes! That's enough to scare a year or two out of you! Remember those tantrums, You'll get to throw them but play nice around the white-coats!

Happy Birthday Ann!
Remember what the good Southern Woman said: A Woman is like a fine, mellow wine, she only gets better with age!
Remember to live much, laugh often and love always!
All the best,
Erica

Somebody famous said, “Birthdays are good for you - the more you have, the longer you live”. In other words, It’s better to be over the hill than to be buried under it. And you’re only as old as you act. So Happy Birthday to someone who is forever young. Just wait ‘til you turn 50 – it gets even better – those AARP discounts are great! :-) Have a wonderful day, Ann. Hope your birthday is the beginning of a beautiful year.

Ann, we are all so lucky to know you and to enjoy your charm and wit.

P.S. Ther's no way you look 40.

Remember;
Life leaps like a geiser for those who drill thru the rock of inertia.

Happy Birthday girl! I turned 22 this year so I can't say I know how you feel but it must be just awful :-). I have to say though that I though you were only 39 or maybe 39.5 - I guess you look much younger than your age! Have a wonderful day and make sure Jamie has to work hard all day and do whatever you want him to do! Anna & Eric

Happy Birthday Ann! 40 is the new 30 so you are all set :) I like to think the kids keep us young as well...although I do feel older trying to keep up with them.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Ann!

"Don't look at it as being 40; look at it as being 18 but with 22 years experience." And if you look at it as 18, you are 4 years younger than Anna Panna! Unfortunately, you are still a few years older than me, as, like Merlin, I have decided that I am aging backwards.

Just 10 more years until you can get an AARP card, which is truly a shocking milestone in anyone's life.

Have fun and remember that your
40th birthday celebration lasts all year long...(hear that, James).

Dear Ann,
A couple of famous quotes for your big day:
"The first forty years of life give us the text: the next thirty supply the commentary."
"Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter"
But the most important one:
"This wine is forty years old. It certainly doesn't show its age"
Have a fantastic Birthday, love André & Family x

What can I say, you have reached the age of maturity, spent years with that man, and still look that good. There must be something out there looking out for you. As Pauline pointed out the best years of a woman's life - the ten years between 39 and 40 so have a wicked day (and night) but remember 40 is when you still believe you'll feel better in the morning - beware. Damn! I wish I had looked as young and beautiful as you when I was 40!
Just think. Jamie will still have many more years of having to endure the pain of other men staring lustingly at his wife. Must be hell for him.
And you still have 20 long years before you have to bring your parents kicking & screaming to a rest home in Florida. Enjoy them while you can.
Love,
Mom

Hey Ann!

Happiest B-day! I don't understand all these comments about "old" age. We're not even halfway yet! :) But, just in case we are, now is the time to do all those fun things you never had time to do before. I went parasailing and am planning much more! Scuba dive, eat a whole pizza on your own, run a marathon, whatever milestone you've been waiting for.
Let Jamie spoil you on your day and never, ever stop celebrating birthdays - it's just a silly number anyway. Halle Berry is older than we are and she is gorgeous!
Happy Wishes from Ellie and hubby Will

Happy Birthday Ann! You don't look a day over 25, I would never have guessed it. You will always be young, slim and way more beautiful than Jamie :) Hope you have a great day and that Jamie and the boys will take care of everything and spoil you, you deserve it!

If 40 is the 'new 30' then why can't we just be 30 again! Happy Birthday. I love you.

p.s. Jamie, if she has an issue with her 40th being posted on the internet for all to see - the guest room is available.

Happy Birthday Ann! Dave and I wish we could be down there to celebrate with you (and that has nothing to do with the snow and 40 degree temp here in Cleveland).

Here is the best part about turning 40....
Jaime will always be older than you!

Have a wonderful birthday!

Happy Birthday, Ann!

They used to say Life begins at 40 because our kids would be grown by then. So by that account most of us don't get there these days until another decade has passed. So, 10 years until your life even begins. There's a new perspective for you.

Have Fun and Enjoy!

40 really is the new 30, and as someone who's been there and gone, I can tell you it's great.

Happy Birthday, Ann! By now, you've heard all the variations of "you're only as old as you feel" and "it's just a number". Reality is that you are truly only 40 for a day, and then after that, you are 40 plus 1 day, then 40 plus 2 days... and we can all manage anything for one day, so don't worry about it anymore! Just drink some of Jamie's fine single malt to get you through the day and you'll be fine after that. :) Enjoy!

Happy Birthday!! Becoming 40 can be verry freeing, or so I'm told. It certainly freed me of being in my thirties, but other than that...

Enjoy your day, your week, your year, and, while you're at it, you might as well enjoy everything.

Happy Belated Birthday, Ann,

Sorry I missed the day - you know how it is. I hope it was wonderful! I had one of those ends-in-zero birthdays this year too, and it's a bit daunting. But don't let it be. Just stay happy, and enjoy every day. And remember what Tom Robbins said: "It's never too late to have a happy childhood." Happy a Happy Birthday, a happy year, and always, a happy childhood.
